___________________________________ (School) is very pleased to announce that we are now active participants in Peak Performance USA, a national student asthma management and education program initiated by the American Association for Respiratory Care. Asthma is a serious illness that affects many of our students and is a leading cause for school absences. Our school is committed to helping our children with asthma by providing information about the disease and monitoring students with asthma on a regular basis with the peak flow meter—a device that measures the amount of air flow an individual can exhale. ____________________________ (school) nurse and other important ____________________________ (school) staff individuals will be the key leaders in the ___________________________________ (school) Peak Performance program. Although asthma cannot be cured, it can be managed, so children with asthma can enjoy active lives and perform their best at school. We are looking forward to being partners with our students, their parents and their physicians in this effort to help our students live up to their peak potential.
