We would like to invite you to become a part of the national Peak Performance USA team. This group consists of respiratory therapists, parents, and school nurses and staff like yourself, committed to helping our students with asthma live and perform to their peak potential.
According to recent research studies, asthma is one of the leading causes of school absences, affecting more than nine million children under the age of 18. However, with proper treatment and thorough education, their symptoms can be kept under control. Children with asthma can live normal, active lives, and perform well at school. You can help.
Enclosed is general background information on Peak Performance USA.

You will receive, free-of-charge, a peak flow meter and valved holding chamber. The therapist, your information resource, will be happy to discuss how to use the peak flow meter and how to maintain records to support the procedure. A free Peak Performance kit is also available by calling the American Association for Respiratory at (972) 243-2272.
